The bulk of the tracks you'll find here were recorded at Earthworm studios in Stratton, one summer. It had been raining for weeks before we started recording these songs but the Sun came out from behind the maelstrom the moment we set foot throught he door of the studio. With every hour that we recorded the Sun grew in size and blazed hotter. Until by the time we were done and we left the studio, Stratton was a scordhed wasteland of animal carcass and drought. The only thing left standing was St. Margaret church. So we took the masters to the altar there and played them loud and the warm rains came and restored Stratton to it's former glory.

And lo! What glory. For the Belladonnas had released their first record.

Anything that wasn't recorded at Earthworm was recorded on the island at Claridges pond.
